P6,720 for only P20

QFFC Chairman of the Board Mel Tadeo inculcates the coop's philosophy: Helping People Help Themselves.

A 24 Oras report on GMA7 on Sunday primetime revealed that parents are now trooping to Divisoria to purchase supplies for their children who will be back to school next month. Some of them are shopping early to avoid the rush; others are there because prices are cheaper as compared to those in malls or department stores. Yet, not all of them can bring home everything their children need because even if it’s cheaper there, they do not have enough budget.

Times are really hard, we know that. But practical and responsible parenthood foresees and prepares for events such as opening of classes. Thinking parents plan ahead by setting aside something for their children’s education. They have educational savings.

Don’t you wish, you have savings solely for that purpose? That you have money to buy your kid’s school supplies or to pay for your college student’s entrance fee if not the whole tuition for the semester?  How would you like a savings account which will allow you to deposit a minimum of P20? It’s a very friendly package that will help you budget your money daily.

Welcome to Quick and Fast Credit Cooperative (QFCC) Educational Savings. You only need to shell out P300 as maintaining balance. However, if your balance is below P300, there will be no service charge. Then, if you want to enjoy 3% annual interest, your deposit should only be at least P500. Now, if you do not have P500 yet, you just start with P300, and then you set aside P20 everyday for you daily budget and deposit it to your educational savings account every weekend.

Do the math: You have P140 weekly; multiply it with four and that will give you P560 monthly.  Multiply your P560 with 12, and it will give you P6720 in a year. Add your 3% interest, how much money will you get then? Clearly, you will not have a hard time sourcing your funds for next school year anymore. You just have to be disciplined by seeing to it that you set aside P20 each day for your kid’s educational savings. And you need to START RIGHT NOW! Not later but TODAY!
New members who believe Tomorrow should be made Today.

Yet, if you think one year is too long, do not worry because you can make withdrawal from that savings anytime, the moment your student is enrolled. It’s a very friendly package remember? You will not be paying service charge even if your money is below the P300 maintaining balance. So mama and papa, remember P20 a day! Just P20!

You ask why QFCC? And we say, why not? QFCC is not your ordinary cooperative. It aims to provide C.H.R.I.S.T. –centered, services through its various savings packages.
CHRIST stands for Cooperation, Humility, Respect, Integrity, Sense of Community and Honesty and Transparency. QFCC came unto being after super-typhoon Yolanda devastated almost the entire Visayas that left thousands dead and millions in damaged properties and livelihood.

It was learned that after the strongest typhoon ever recorded in history, the Carmela Tadeo Foundation Inc. which is primarily a scholarship foundation, has seen the need to help typhoon victims particularly in Bantayan Island in northern Cebu.
QFCC having been an inter-office cooperative under the Carmela Tadeo group of companies for a decade already, has given employees enough savings for them to use in case of crises.
Thus, kind-hearted employees gathered all their savings that amounted to P2 million which they used as seed money for the cooperative, part of which was donated to the foundation and was used in the relief operations in Bantayan Island.
Now the successful inter-office cooperative has opened its doors to the working public with the goal of not only transforming the working class as financially literate individuals, but also to expose them to the beauty of helping the needy through the various saving packages.
